Introduction
The project will consist of Technical Assistance for activities aimed at preparing a full SIP proposal entitled “Implementation of the Waste Management Plan for the Pomorskie Voivodeship (PGOWP) taking into account the hierarchy of handling municipal waste and the principles of circular economy (GOZ)” (LIFE Pom GOZilla.PL) for funding under the LIFE-2023-STRAT-two-stage Call.
Funding Details
The Strategic Integrated Project (SIP) will be submitted under the LIFE 2021-2027 Financial Instrument, Field: Environment, Sub-programme: Circular Economy and Quality of Life. The preparation of the full SIP proposal will consist of updating the concept note and making additions to the technical Part B items required at the full proposal stage.
Project Timeline
The project is scheduled for the period from 1 October 2023 to 5 March 2024.
Main Tasks
Its main tasks are:
- Project management through the engagement of five part-time employees of the Department of Environment and Agriculture in the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship to coordinate the process of preparing the proposal.
- Preparation of data and conducting analyses necessary to submit the full proposal.
- Preparation of the full proposal with annexes. Under this task, an external company/experts will be commissioned to update the concept note and make additions to the technical Part B items required at the stage of submitting the full proposal.
Strategic Integrated Project (SIP) Goals
The Strategic Integrated Project (SIP) assumes:
- Implementation of a Regional Action Plan for rational municipal waste management and circular economy.
- Implementation of the Plan on the scale of the entire Pomorskie Voivodeship.
- Involving all key target groups and stakeholders in the implementation.
- A mechanism for coordinating, financing, and supporting complementary actions necessary to fully implement the target plan.
Implementation Phases
The SIP will be carried out from 2025 to 2035 in three implementation phases. The planned SIP project is the first one in Poland concerning the implementation of the waste management plan.
