Introduction
The Mazowieckie Voivodeship decided to prepare a Strategic Integrated Project to increase the effectiveness (acceleration and increase of effects) of the implementation of the regional Waste Management Plan of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the Waste Prevention Program in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (PGO WM).
Project Objectives
The TA-PP project is to provide organizational and financial conditions for a good preparation of a Full Proposal for a SIP. This will be done by:
- Obtaining good quality data that is not available at the stage of submitting the Concept Note, but is needed to ensure the coherence of SIP with PGO WM, as well as to parameterize the tasks planned in the SIP and to model the feasibility of its effects.
- Increasing the competences of the project team in the process of preparing a Full Proposal for SIP LIFE.
- Obtaining confirmation that complementary funds will be released for the implementation of necessary investment activities resulting from the PGO WM.
- Completion of the SIP consortium structure and accession of Partners for the SIP.
- Preparation and submission of a Full Proposal for a strategic integrated project and an application for SIP co-financing.
Background
The Project Coordinator has an approved PGO WM plan, which has been implemented for 4 years on a regional scale. At the same time, in 2024 there is an update of the PGO WM required by the regulations (Act on waste), and from 2024 the spending of funds from FEM 2021-2027 will be launched.
Timeline and Synergy
For this reason, it was considered necessary for the implementation of the SIP to start as early as January 2025. Thanks to this, the effect of synergy and interference of project activities will be achieved along with the implementation of the PGO WM update. For this reason, parallel work was undertaken on the development of TA-PP and CN SIP.
