Projectdetails

Introduction

Sustainable aviation is important for the EU. Denmark and Sweden have set a target to achieve 100% fossil-free domestic flights by 2030. Given that developing a new aircraft typically takes 8-10 years, it is imperative to commence work immediately if the EU intends to meet its environmental and sustainability objectives, including zero-emission aviation.

Project Overview

Funded by the European Investment Council, the Maeve M80 project is dedicated to the creation and commercialization of the world’s first hybrid-electric aircraft for the commercial aviation market. This aircraft is capable of decarbonizing existing flight routes in the regional aviation segment.

Mission and Goals

It’s Maeve’s mission to reduce more than 50 MT of CO2 from commercial routes before 2040.
