STABL's SMART BATTERY innovation enhances battery lifespan and efficiency, aiming to reduce waste and support the EU's renewable energy and GHG reduction goals by 2030.

Introduction
The EU has targeted renewable energy shares of 32% and a 50% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030. This has to lead to an exponential growth in the demand for battery energy storage systems (BESS). Without suitable re-use technologies for old batteries, 95% of all end-of-life battery systems will be disposed of, and the EU will accumulate 250k tonnes of waste by 2025.
Innovation
STABL has developed and patented SMART BATTERY, a disruptive innovation that allows the module-level control of BESS through novel inverter hardware and smart algorithms.
