Projectdetails

Introduction

With a decentralised and scalable solution that produces carbon-free H2 on demand at a cost that is competitive with grey H2, SAKOWIN is at the forefront of the energy transition.

Technology Overview

SAKOWIN produces equipment (modules) that, using biomethane or natural gas (NG) as feedstock, produces H2 and solid carbon — both industrially valuable products.

Competitive Advantage

A big step forward from current and emerging solutions, our proprietary technology is distinguished by its competitive cost (1.5€/Kg H2 by 2025) due to:

  1. 5x less electrical consumption than water electrolysis
  2. A CO2-free process, unlike steam reforming technology

Installation and Infrastructure

Our technology brick will be installed where H2 is needed, fitting into existing gas infrastructures, which saves on storage or transport.

Business Model and Revenue Projections

Our focus is on equipment sales and licensing. We foresee revenues of €75M in 2030.

Future Vision

With 276 modules in total delivered by 2030, by that year we envision SAKOWIN as a referent within the companies offering technologies to produce sustainable CO2-free H2.
